Divisions and Subsidiaries is published twice a year, in April and September. It draws on data from Monks surveys to provide base salary and total earnings guidelines and trends for director and management roles.

Analysis of pay data is provided for five levels of post:


For each of the five job levels, base salary and total earnings are analysed by five revenue bands and by broad industry classification - with findings presented by inter-quartile analysis.

Further analyses are based on regression analysis by ten revenue levels for the five job levels. The findings are presented in tabular and graphical form by:

The scope factor takes account of the fact that some jobs are bigger and some smaller than the norm.

The report also gives a summary of annual and long-term incentive practice in divisions and subsidiary companies as well as pensions and other benefits market practice.
